Kouk Creatives partnered with Eyes4Everest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing eye care to remote mountain communities in Nepal, to design and develop a digital platform that streamlined their operations. By replacing paper-based records with a mobile app, Eyes4Everest was able to significantly reduce the weight of their equipment and increase efficiency in the field. Kouk Creatives delivered the UX/UI design and digital assets, while the app development was handled by Nomoss in Sydney, Australia.
Eyes4Everest, a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating preventable blindness in Nepal’s mountain regions, collaborated with Kouk Creatives to build a digital solution that streamlined their field operations.
Prior to the project, volunteers carried heavy paperwork to document patient details during their missions. The app we helped design changed that. By replacing paper forms with digital logs, volunteers now record patient data on the go, syncing it to the cloud for later use. The app not only lightened their travel load but also made data collection faster and more reliable. Our team focused on creating a user-friendly interface, with seamless UX/UI that catered to volunteers operating in remote and challenging environments.
The app was built to meet the unique needs of Eyes4Everest’s volunteers as they navigate difficult terrains in the Himalayan region. Featuring offline functionality and automatic syncing to the cloud when internet is available, the app transformed how data is collected in the field. Kouk Creatives worked closely with Eyes4Everest to develop the UX/UI design, ensuring ease of use in high-altitude conditions. We also created all visual assets, including icons, images, and illustrations, to keep the app visually consistent with the organization’s branding. The final development was executed by Nomoss in Sydney, delivering a robust solution that now supports Eyes4Everest’s missions.
Throughout the project, Kouk Creatives collaborated with both Eyes4Everest and Nomoss to bring the app to life. Our UX/UI team focused on ensuring the app was intuitive for volunteers who might not have access to reliable internet or electricity during their travels. By syncing data to the cloud once back online, the app offered a seamless and paperless alternative to manual record-keeping. The introduction of this digital tool allowed Eyes4Everest to operate more efficiently and focus on providing essential eye care. This project also included the design of digital brochures, volunteer handbooks, and various promotional assets, all contributing to the success of their life-changing missions.
